Lyudmila (Luda) Kogan, Esq.
Luda Kogan has been a partner with the firm of Pollack, Pollack & Kogan LLC since 2012. Luda is licensed to practice law in the Florida State Courts, and in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle District of Florida. Luda practices primarily in the areas of fraud, breach of contract, business disputes, and debt and judgment collection. Through her work in debt collection, Luda has appeared in a number of bankruptcy cases to contest discharge of debt on behalf of her clients. Luda also represents clients in arbitration of cases, and has pursued and defended appellate cases before the Miami Dade Circuit Court and the Third District Court of Appeals.
In addition to practicing litigation with Pollack, Pollack & Kogan, LLC, Luda is a pro-bono attorney for Lawyers for Children America (LFCA), representing abused and neglected children in the foster care system. Her work with LFCA has earned her the Young Lawyer of the Year Award in 2013, presented by Lawyers to the Rescue, and the John Edward Smith Child Advocacy Award in 2013, presented by Lawyers for Children America.
Luda obtained her Juris Doctor Degree from the Florida International University College of Law, where she actively participated in moot court appellate competition, and served as the President of the Board of Advocates. Luda has since returned to the FIU College of Law as an adjunct professor, teaching legal writing and practical application skills.
